#iSocialTalks recap: Tweet While You Sleep, Don’t Hate to Love

By Brian Fanzo,

September 15, 2014

I’m Sorry Guy Kawasaki you were right! Why I Tweet in my sleep & love @Canva! #iSocialTalks

As a long time fan of Guy Kawasaki’s I’ve read all of his books and followed his career closely.  The idea of being an “Evangelist” and creating a cult like following similar to what he did at Apple was something I always aspired to do!  A little over a year ago I was given the role of Technology Evangelist at my company modeling my job and role after what I’d learn from Guy.

I’ve read all his books and been a big fan but a couple years ago I remember disagreeing admittedly with his “Reposting for Timezones” philosophy on twitter even going as far as saying all he was doing was adding spam to my twitter feed…. (How Marketing Legend Guy Kawasaki Manages His Social Media Presence via @Hubspot)

Fast forward two years later and not only do I owe him an apology but thanks to some amazing social friends in the UK and Australia I’ve adapted my social sharing strategy to not only include other timezones but even set my alarm to wake up and engage with others in other timezones..
