While it certainly has been a busy time, it’s a good time to take a break and share with you the latest edition of “Things You Need To Know This Week.”

The mobile internet has surpassed desktop for the first time, according to Internet monitoring company StatCounter.  This is huge news but hardly a surprise given the ubiquity of Internet connected mobile devices. via TechCrunch

Instagram is testing shoppable photo tags going beyond a place to post your selfies and turning the photo sharing site into a true online commerce portal.via Techcrunch

The holiday shopping season is moving more online this year with younger Internet users most likely to clicking the buy button on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. via eMarketer
