How I’m Driving a 2015 Navigator thanks to Social Media

By Brian Fanzo,

December 22, 2014
Whats the ROI of Social Media?  Ok who else is sick of that question?  Another question that I’ve heard a lot recently in the social selling content has been “When & How do I cash in on my social relationships?”  Both of these make me sad because most of the people asking these questions are missing the point of social media altogether.  But I don’t want to get into a rant about the Return on Relationships rather I will provide you a link to my friend Ted Rubin‘s book #RonR for you to read!Screen Shot 2014-12-22 at 12.12.47 PM

I also understand that when it comes to personal branding and brands use of social media we must show value for the time we spend and we must link it back to business strategy and goals.  With that being said I recently had an amazing experience with a brand (@Ford) that was only possible thanks to a 5 year social relationship that I leveraged with a simple Facebook Status update.

If you want to know the whole story please watch the most recent #iSocialTalks YouTube video (below) or listen to the audio SoundCloud (below), as I explain from the front seat of the Navigator how it happened, why I recommend Social Media Examiners event #SMMW15 and more.

Take note that I didn’t ask for anything rather @EricTTung a great social friend read my status and reached out letting me know he might be able to help and connected me with @FordBecky which making a long story short, landed me in the driver seat of a 2015 Lincoln Navigator!
